Permanent Residency granted to a client with an expired Visitor’s Visa
A client who entered the United States on a Visitor’s visa, which expired shortly thereafter, recently obtained Permanent Residency in front of the Immigration Judge. A native of Bangladesh, the client was undergoing deportation proceedings due to his expired B1/B2 visa. Initially, the Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) denied his petition, and his case was remanded after an appeal to the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) was submitted by the Gehi & Associates, P.C. The case was then remanded to the Immigration Judge and the client was able to adjust status based on his marriage to a U.S. citizen.
